Five steps to blood for your patient
- Ask the blood bank exactly what you need The blood group, the number of units, and the type: whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma.
- Post the request on Isaar Choose the hospital, the group, the units and when it is needed. It takes about a minute and is completely free.
- Matching donors get an alert First people within 25 km whose blood can help, nearest first. If needed, Isaar reaches further: 75 km, then 150 km.
- Keep your phone close Donors who accept call you directly. In the app you can see who is coming and how many units are covered.
- Confirm each donation Tap "Donated" in the app. The donor is thanked, and Isaar stops asking others when every unit is covered.
In a medical emergency, call 1122 first. Isaar finds donors; it is not an ambulance service.
