Questions, answered.
Everything families and donors ask us most.
Is Isaar free?
Yes, for every family and every donor, always. Blood is never bought or sold on Isaar.
How do I request blood?
Open Isaar, choose the hospital, the blood group, the number of units and when it is needed. Matching donors nearby get an alert in seconds.
Who gets the alert?
Only donors whose blood can help, nearest first: within 25 km, then 75 km and 150 km if needed, including people whose home town is near the hospital.
Who sees my phone number?
Only donors who accept your request. Donors choose whether families see their number. Private details are deleted 30 days after a request ends.
How often can I donate?
Every 90 days for men and every 120 days for women in Pakistan. Isaar tracks your rest period and only alerts you when you can give.
Can I say no to a request?
Always. You choose every time, and nobody is told why.
Does Isaar work on iPhone?
Yes. Open isaarapp.org/app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Allow notifications to receive alerts.
My patient needs blood every few weeks. Can Isaar help?
Yes. Create a blood circle of regular donors; Isaar asks them ahead of each transfusion date.
Someone asked me for money for blood.
Refuse and report it from the app or our contact page. Donors on Isaar are never paid.
Who runs Isaar?
Isaar is a project of Hamdard Welfare Foundation, run as a sadaqah jariyah.
